It's good to be finally on the road after all those months of planning.

All is going well so far, we have finally rented the house which is great news. A bit of a relief.

We spent the first 10 days travelling down through the south of Italy. Arrived in Rome, caught the train to Naples where we spent a couple of days recovering from the jetlag, then we headed for the Amalfi Coast. Stayed in Sorrento (the only place on the Amalfi Coast we could afford!). Spent a few days there and did a day trip to Capri which we loved. Then caught the train across to Bari on the east coast. Did a day trip down to the Matera cave town and then caught the boat from Bari over to Greece. Boat was horrible.... very busy, noisy and smokey and couldn't sleep so got to Greece knackered!
